Frequently Asked Questions
Who is ROOTS Homeschool Collective for?
ROOTS is designed for homeschool parents who want thoughtful, developmentally appropriate learning—without overwhelm. Families at all stages are welcome, from brand-new homeschoolers to seasoned parents refining their approach.
Is ROOTS faith-based?
ROOTS is faith-informed, not exclusionary. Our philosophy reflects values such as dignity, purpose, stewardship, and care for the whole child. Families of faith often feel deeply at home here, and families who value respectful, whole-child learning are equally welcome.
Is membership pricing per child or per family?
Membership pricing is per family.
The ROOTS Collective supports parents as teachers, providing guidance, systems, coaching, and resources that apply across the entire homeschool. All children in your household are included.
When is pricing per child?
1:1 consulting services that involve individualized planning, review, or recommendations are priced per child, since this work is customized to each learner.
What ages or grade levels do you support?
ROOTS supports K–12 homeschooling families. Membership content applies broadly, while consulting services are tailored to your child’s age, stage, and needs.
Do you teach children directly?
ROOTS focuses on supporting parents, not replacing them.
We provide:
- Guidance on how to teach
- Planning and instructional strategies
- Digital coursework and resources parents may use
This model empowers parents while keeping learning rooted in the family.
What if I have multiple children at very different levels?
That’s common—and expected.
Membership resources are designed to be flexible and adaptable, and consulting services can be customized per child when deeper support is needed.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Memberships are monthly, with the option to save by paying annually. Founding members receive locked-in pricing as long as their membership remains active.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my tier later?
Yes. Families may adjust their membership tier as needs change.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of digital content and live coaching, membership fees are non-refundable. However, you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
How do I know which tier is right for me?
- Choose ROOTS Essentials if you want structure and tools
- Choose ROOTS Guided if you want coaching and reassurance
- Choose ROOTS Mentored if you want personalized, high-touch support
If you’re unsure, start with Guided—it’s where most families thrive.
How is Blue Ribbon Teacher connected to ROOTS?
Blue Ribbon Teacher™ is the resource and curriculum division of ROOTS Homeschool Collective. All resources are aligned with the ROOTS framework and created through a research-based, developmentally grounded lens.

FOUNDING MEMBERS FAQs
What does it mean to be a Founding Member?
Founding Members are the first families to join The ROOTS Homeschool Collective. As a founding member, you help shape this community while receiving exclusive lifetime pricing as long as your membership remains active.
This is our way of honoring early trust and partnership.
Is founding member pricing really locked in for life?
Yes.
As long as your membership remains active and in good standing:
- Your founding rate will never increase
- Even if prices rise for future members
- Even as new features are added
If you cancel and later rejoin, current pricing would apply.
How long is founding enrollment open?
Founding enrollment is limited-time and will close once:
- The enrollment window ends or
- Capacity is reached (especially for higher-touch tiers)
This ensures quality support and sustainability.
Will the ROOTS Collective change after launch?
Yes—and that’s a good thing.
The core ROOTS framework is established, but founding members may:
- Influence future topics
- Request trainings or resources
- Help shape how the community grows
Founding members receive early access to new offerings whenever possible.
Is this just for brand-new homeschoolers?
No.
The ROOTS Collective supports:
- New homeschool families
- Experienced homeschoolers
- Families transitioning from school
- Families refining or resetting their approach
Support is flexible and adapts to where you are.
What if I’m overwhelmed and not sure how much support I need?
That’s exactly why ROOTS exists.
Many families start with ROOTS Guided, where they receive:
- Ongoing coaching
- Monthly structure
- Reassurance and clarity
You may upgrade or downgrade as your needs change.
Is this curriculum?
ROOTS is not a boxed curriculum.
Instead, we provide:
- Guidance on how to choose and use curriculum
- Planning tools
- Instructional strategies
- Optional resources through Blue Ribbon Teacher
This keeps learning flexible and personalized.
What if I have multiple children?
All membership tiers are priced per family and include all children in your household.
Individual consulting services are available separately when child-specific planning is needed.
What if this doesn’t feel like the right fit later?
You are free to cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
Because content and coaching are delivered immediately, membership fees are non-refundable—but there is no long-term contract.
Why join now instead of later?
Founding members receive:
- The lowest price ROOTS will ever offer
- Bonus resources
- Early access
- A voice in shaping the community
Later enrollment will be available—but at higher rates.
